About

Victor Inafuko

Born in São Paulo, son of a Japanese-Brazilian family, he incorporates Japanese influences into his works, blending them with various life experiences. Always valuing creativity, his paintings reflect the thoughts of the present moment, authentically capturing the now. This artistic expression is rooted in the Japanese style Sumi-e, one of the origins of his focus on the present.

Acting as a content creator focused on Japanese culture, streamer, tattoo artist, and illustrator, he shares his projects and passions through exhibitions, live streams, murals, and custom tattoo designs, which he tattoos himself.

In his most recent series of works, he explores the representation of mystical creatures and characters from Brazilian folklore, using the foundation of the Sumi-e style, traditionally applied to the representation of Japanese Yokai. This series was developed especially to be presented during his visit to Japan in October 2023.

Through his work, he constantly seeks to refine his technique and artistic expression, aiming to bring closer the realm of his imagination and ours.
